The preacher spoke about
WEALTH and WELLNESS
WORTHINESS & WILLINGNESS
THE BIBLE
PASSAGE WAS:
"If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door."
The preacher said we sometimes use these negative words when it's not well
WORTHLESSNESS
WILLFULNESS
WICKEDNESS
WOES
the gathering was ending
the group was singing happily "It is WELL, it is well with my soul"
In the distance there was a rumble of thunder and lightning played across the evening sky.
The sun managed to break out from behind the clouds one more time.
It was now setting in a magnificent yellowish purple pinkish orange splendor of grey clouds and blue sky.
"Though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God" - Ecclesiastes 8:12
Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come, let this blest assurance control: that Christ has regarded my helpless estate, and has shed his own blood for my soul.
A real blessing
