Can the witness taint the evidence?
There are Christians who don't "witness"
because they don't feel worthy.
If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? - Psalm 11:3
Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.- Mark 9:50
"being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God". - Romans 10
with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life. Ezekiel 13
If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 1 John 1:6,7
