Twin killers of 'home-life'?
A house is not a home, is a home more like a business? Is stable family life 'profitable' to civilized societies?
This people say, The time is not come,
the time that the LORD'S house
should be built.
Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste?
Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.
Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the LORD of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house.
This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith
Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.

During this 'family time', members can engage in family games. This is an inexpensive activity which can lead to family bonding.
This is also good to divert attention from the daily diet of negative news. It could also strengthen the family in order to endure and overcome tough times.
Family communication time must be used as an opportunity to celebrate family successes such as the children's performance in academics ". . .
