" FIXIT" - THE DEADLY URGE

Stumbling?
Steadying?
Slain !

Did we in our own strength confide,
our striving would be losing,
were not the right man on our side,
the man of God's own choosing.
Dost ask who that may be?

Christ Jesus, it is he;
Lord Sabaoth, his name,
from age to age the same,
and he must win the battle.

And when they came unto the threshingfloor of Chidon, Uzza put forth his hand to hold the ark; for the oxen stumbled. And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzza, and he smote him, because he put his hand to the ark: and there he died before God." - ‭1 Chronicles‬ ‭13:9-10‬ ‭

All around us we see the "stumbling oxen" in our communities and in lives of our loved ones and friends. The timeless "institutions" of God like the family and the church seem unsteady. We think they may fail.

. . . but we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. ◄ 2 Corinthians 4:7 ►
