The Need for Accountability
As sinners in a fallen world, we must admit that our lives always need improvement. I often feel like Paul-- "I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do-- this I keep on doing" (Romans 7:18-19). This is one reason for discipleship. We need others to help us along the road! Close one-on-one fellowship with another believer provides a special kind of accountability that is crucial to deep growth in your spiritual walk.

* "On November 7, my father will celebrate his 91st birthday. If you or someone in your family came to know Jesus Christ through his ministry, please share that with him. We want to continue to bless and encourage him."

* Secretary of State
Hillary Rodham Clinton is planning to press Israel over the weekend to cease Jewish construction in the eastern sections of Jerusalem,

* Michelle Obama's second cousin converted to Judaism, was ordained a rabbi, and runs a Chicago congregation made up largely of black converts to Judaism.

* The TRUTH About Flu Shots!
One theory that explains the seasonal nature of flu is that influenza is a vitamin D deficiency disease, I believe this may be a primary factor. Vitamin D levels in your body fall to their lowest point during flu seasons.

* The older I get, the more I want things to be familiar. I find myself choosing the same restaurants to frequent, the same clothing styles to wear, the same friends to enjoy, the same exercise patterns to follow, even the same place to sit in church.

"For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed."-Isaiah 9:16

"Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God."-Luke 16:15

* People power is alive and well in New York State as evidenced by Governor David Patterson's and his Health Commissioner's decision on October 22 to immediately suspend the mandatory swine flu vaccine for the majority of New York's healthcare workers.
