confused or deceived

We need to hear from you
We need a word from you

If we don't hear from you
Lord, what will we do?
Loving you more each day
Show us your perfect way
There is no other way
That we can live !

Study to shew thyself
approved unto God,
a workman that needeth
not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth.

w
e need approval
recognition hunger is a term used sometimes
B F skinner said that behaviour can be encouraged
when that behaviour is approved or REWARDED.
Pet lovers know well what PAVLOV also found
that you can train your pet by showing your approval
with a treat.

For not he that commendeth himself
is approved, but whom
the Lord commendeth.
2 Corinthians 10:18

So do we control or manipulate each other
by giving or witholding our approval ?
....sure we do...every day ...all day long   all of us !!! right ??
wrong !!..at least not everbody, all the time but for some, yes.

you be the judge.....
popularity and (BARNA) public opinion polling and
the advertising industry,
sales and marketing are all based
on principles of approval - conditioned response
BEHAVIOUR MODIFICATION

There will, however, come times in our experiences
when we will not get any approval for decisions we
have to make.
At those times we will only be able to stand
If we have God's approval......
His word says in such times....
How should one chase a thousand, and
two put ten thousand to flight, except their
Rock had sold them, and the LORD
had shut them up?
....Deuteronomy 32:30

When my father and my mother (family) forsake me
then the LORD will take me up. Psalm 27:10

JESUS WAS APPROVED by His Father
Matthew 3:17
And lo a voice from heaven, saying,
This is my beloved Son, in whom
I am well pleased.
Matthew 17:5
While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud
overshadowed them: and behold a voice out
of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved
Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

Approval of people only is not good enough Romans 14
18 For he that in these things serveth Christ is
acceptable to God, and approved of men.
19 Let us therefore follow after the things which
make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

MORE troubling, yet reassuring lessons from the Son:
31 And he began to teach them, that the Son of man
must suffer many things, and be rejected
24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples,
If any man will come after me, let him deny himself,
and take up his cross, and follow me.
26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me
and of my words, of him shall the
Son of man be ashamed,
26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father,
and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren,
and sisters, yea, and his own life also,
he cannot be my disciple.

Americans disapprove of his handling of the issue, by 49% to 43%

August 12, 2009 More Americans disapprove (49%) than approve (43%) of Barack Obama's handling of healthcare policy, hardly changed from views expressed in mid-July. Americans are evenly divided on his handling of the economy and give him more positive than negative marks on foreign affairs and education.

When a stubborn fool is irritated,
he shows it immediately,
but a sensible person hides the insult.
Proverbs 12:16

confessing or covering
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Psalm 32:1

And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8

Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins. Proverbs 10:12

He that covereth a transgression seeketh love; but he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends. Proverbs 17:9

He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. Proverbs 28:13

Standing somewhere in the shadows
you'll find Jesus
He's the only one who cares and understands
Standing somewhere in the shadows you will find Him
and you'll know Him by the nailprints in His hands

He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Isaiah 53:3

4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
