cricket lovely cricket I just came through a brutal time at work 18 hour work days etc.... it was too much a couple of saturdays ago so although I left home for work...I just couldn't face the office...I diverted to the park SHAZAMM !!! a cricket match was in progress I watched for a few hours.... it all came flooding back it must have been at least ten years since I had seen a cricket match the batsman settled down at the crease the captain was adjusting the field long on fielder was too deep the square leg umpire sighted the wicket and the wicket keeker stepped back and crouched behind the stumps the bowler went to his mark turned and started his run up to the wicket and delivered....it dropped just short of a length and turned into the batsman who leaned back and punched it comfortably through the covers they crossed for a quick single then I thought all these sports are pretty much the same some one is trying to do something and someone else is trying to stop it. Daddy liked to talk about sports first there was cycle sports..at race course in the early days....we could sometimes hear the shouts from our home in Hampton Street....we could definately hear the roar of the crowds from Sabina Park....that Wesley Hall was something else...they said some of his deliveries were in excess of 90 miles per hour....and they didn't wear protective headgear back then.... and of course nothing got daddy more excited than boxing. So in addition to Politics and religion I cannot ignore what seems to be Americas number one obsession SPORTS |

intentions bare some relation to expectation...what the parent expects does not always match the intentions of the child....Peace is when there is a match....Gods expectation of me?
"to fear God and keep His commandments this is the whole duty of men"...sometimes we have no intention of doing the thing to please God....
