How Well do you Know Chuck Norris?

If you're a martial arts fan, you know Chuck Norris the six-time undefeated World Professional Middle Weight Karate Champion. If you're a fan of action movies, you know Chuck Norris the movie star of over twenty motion pictures. If you're one who watches much TV, you know Chuck Norris the star of "Walker, Texas Ranger", CBS's longest running series. But what about Chuck Norris the man? Chuck Norris the husband and father? Chuck Norris the Christian? These are just some of the sides of Carlos Ray Norris that you will come to love and respect once you've read his book

Are you Above or UNDER authority?
Against All Authority was founded in Florida in 1992. Early in their career the band decided to book concerts, make recordings and even produce band t-shirts on their own. Later they signed on independent label Hopeless Records, becoming one of their major bands. They have also influenced a number of other bands....and
perhaps millions of young people....  OUTRAGEOUS !!!!

GOD'S WORD® Translation (©1995)
It would be unthinkable for you to do such a thing, to treat the innocent and the guilty alike and to kill the innocent with the guilty. That would be unthinkable! Won't the judge of the whole earth do what is fair?"

My mind went back to an action packed television series that I used to watch
It was called THE RENEGADE. It popped back into my mind last night as I was
browsing a bood stand and my eye caught a book with the title

Hebrews 3 :12 Be careful, brothers and sisters, that none of you ever develop a wicked, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. 13 Encourage each other every day while you have the opportunity. If you do this, none of you will be deceived by sin and become stubborn. 14 After all, we will remain Christ's partners only if we continue to hold on to our original confidence until the end.
15 Scripture says, "If you hear God speak today, don't be stubborn. Don't be stubborn like those who rebelled."
Proverbs 3:11  Despise not - Either by making light of it, or not being duly affected with it; or by accounting it an unnecessary thing: but rather esteem it a privilege and favour from God. Weary - Neither think it tedious or hard, but endure it with patience and chearfulness.

Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary
3:7-12 There is not a greater enemy to the fear of the Lord in the heart, than self-conceit of our own wisdom. The prudence and sobriety which religion teaches, tend not only to the health of the soul, but to the health of the body. HERE

Hebrews 12:5 You have forgotten the encouraging words that God speaks to you as his children: "My child, pay attention when the Lord disciplines you. Don't give up when he corrects you.
6 The Lord disciplines everyone he loves. He severely disciplines everyone he accepts as his child."
7 Endure your discipline. God corrects you as a father corrects his children. All children are disciplined by their fathers. 8 If you aren't disciplined like the other children, you aren't part of the family.

Sin brings complications—things we cannot know beforehand...
Discipline, for the most part, is a private matter. It is between God and the offending party—not for another to judge. God will make one aware of the offense and the fact that the discipline is from him. If this were not the case, what good would the discipline do? God does not take sin lightly. He does not want us to take it lightly either.
Verse 6 makes it clear that every child of God receives his discipline. The degree and severity of the discipline depends upon several factors. One factor is our response to the discipline. Conviction is a first step in the discipline process. If one responds to conviction, there is no need to escalate the process. If one ignores conviction, God will get one's attention at another level. The fact that God loves us does not mean he is willing to overlook ...our sin. - Thomas R. Fletcher
