MOMorDAD

GENDER STEREOTYPES IN 2016

BETWEEN MARY & MOSES.
Is Mrs Clinton playing the 'woman card' or the mental health card?

Will the first couple be
Hillary & Tim or Donny & Mike?

ARE AMERICANS VOTING
FOR MOM or DAD?

How entrenched is the stereotypic perception of the father as the "bumbling idiot?

How real is the idea that
mother knows best?

DECIDE . . .
If the death of family followed the death of fatherhood and if 'abolition' of "traditional marriage" is to be sustained, Americans will confirm and will answer the above questions at the ballot box on November 8th 2016.

•two•

This hymn was sung at the wedding of the future Queen Elizabeth II of Britain, in Westminster Abbey, London, 1947.

1 Praise, my soul, the King of heaven;
to his feet your tribute bring.
Ransomed, healed, restored, forgiven,
evermore his praises sing.
Alleluia, alleluia!
Praise the everlasting King!

2 Praise him for his grace and favor
to his people in distress.
Praise him, still the same as ever,
slow to chide, and swift to bless.
Alleluia, alleluia!
Glorious in his faithfulness!

3 Fatherlike he tends and spares us;
well our feeble frame he knows.
In his hand he gently bears us,
rescues us from all our foes.
Alleluia, alleluia!
Widely yet his mercy flows!

4 Angels, help us to adore him;
you behold him face to face.
Sun and moon, bow down before him,
dwellers all in time and space.
Alleluia, alleluia!
Praise with us the God of grace!

TWO EXPERIENCES?

"the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh"

"there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding".

"he awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out as at other times before, and shake myself. And he wist not that the Lord was departed from him."

Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy
holy spirit from me.

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

ACCOUNTABILITY
Armies are effective because of the firmness of the "command chain".

Other organization forms are less responsive because of the 'looseness' of their communication structure.

In 'building' a team, planning is vital.

For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?

Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.

Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?

Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace.

I know God will use you
mightily. I have lived
a while and have
seen many crash
and burn.

I am praying that God will strengthen
and keep you and bless your ministry as only He can.

The spirit of God speaks to us and through us all the time . . . said this on Saturday "him that hath called us to glory and virtue"

FAITH IS LIVING IN THE
HIGH EXPECTATION OF GOD AND NOT LOW EXPECTATION OF EVIL AND THE DEVIL.

Being cautious and "realistic" is one thing but living in the fearfulness of unbelief is the sin that got the ancient children of Israel into trouble with God.

Let us be bold brother and expect great things for our families from our great God.

That's the leadership
of the Father.

"him that hath called
us to glory and virtue"

+++++++
WHAT IS GOSPEL ?

"he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself." - Luke 10

I cannot tell my family that Gods laws don't matter because of grace!

"this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous."

+++++++

Faith in God leaves no
room For failure or fear

Our God is 100% dependable I won't succeed because
I keep Gods commandments
But because I want
to and I try to

His grace covers the
'compliance gap'.

++++++
My whole life should be geared to keeping His commandments !!!

I can't just ignore them

"Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you"

+++++++
. . .

THE GOSPEL:
1. God gives law
Man disobeys - this (message) produces guilt and guilt produces shame and separation. Man is now in a state of disagreement with God his maker.

2. RECONCILIATION: God gives grace. Shows the penalty for law-breaking is death, the death of Jesus. Man must now believe . . .
AND OBEY !!!!!!

+++++++

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. - 2 Corinthians 5:20

+++++++

We fail to spread the gospel if we never mention Gods the Fathers laws and Jesus commands
Right ?

+++++++

We fail to spread the gospel if we never mention Gods the Fathers laws and Jesus commands
Right ?

+++++++

Grace is always in the context of laws,

YOU MUST PAY YOUR INSURANCE PREMIUMS . . . That's the law . . . BUT you will be allowed grace for 30 days after the due date

The grace does not exempt me from the requirement of the law in fact I GOT THE GRACE BECAUSE OF THE LAW !!!

+++++++

We must teach our families Gods laws and Gods grace the gospel is
LAW & GRACE

GRACE WITHOUT LAW IS NOT GOSPEL AND WILL NOT BRING SALVATION

LAW WITHOUT GRACE IS NOT GOSPEL AND WILL NOT BRING SALVATION

"the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people,

zealous of good works.

These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

THE WORKS DON'T
PRODUCE OR CAUSE
THE SALVATION

but

The salvation produces and causes Good Works !!

Amen ?

Law is the
centerpiece
of Love

The extent to which we love our wives is the extent to which we are willing to ?

A) cooperate with
B) give
C) instruct

Adam "cooperated"
Abraham "cooperated"
to the point of compromising Gods instruction (commands).

Wives will usurp if allowed

Brother Bill reminded me that God gave Adam the instruction and held him accountable.

The husband is to COOPERATE with the wife only to the extent that Gods INSTRUCTION allows.

"suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence."

Jezebel his wife said unto him, Dost thou now govern the kingdom of Israel? arise, and eat bread, and let thine heart be merry . . .

CAREFUL WHEN a female spouse tries to instruct or "teach" the male
ALWAYS A RED FLAG !!!!

Revelation 2:20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

Don't be fooled
There are 2 manifestations of a usurper 'spirit'
At work in the lives
And minds of fathers
And families.

"Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings"

There is:
1. Delilah the 'recruiter'And
2. Jezebel the 'destroyer'

They are "seducing spirits"

The recruiter is out in the
Streets all day everyday and
In the marketplace and the
Media, scantily clad or nude
Sometimes they are well dressed and friendly !!! WOW but seductive.

"Now is she without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner . . . she caught him, and kissed him, and with an impudent face said unto him I have peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows. Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee."

This usurper manifests in our women
today just as from the beginning in the garden manifestation of "the serpent" saying ignore Gods instruction (laws)

a modern day manifestation in these United States is the idol or statue to (of) liberty that represents an idea that says I am free to do whatever I choose, I am accountable to no one; it is the spirit of lawlessness which operates rampantly today

Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

DO WE TEACH OUR FAMILIES . . .
Putting them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work ?

We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

Little children, keep
yourselves from idols.

Amen.

So . . . It's interesting to notice our women slip in and out if these various "modes" even our wives slip into the controlling mode or the seducing mode when in fact the only legitimate mode is
the cooperating-with-us-as-we-cooperate-with-God mode.

Right ?

"whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's"

WE HAVE NO RIGHTS
WE ARE ONLY ALLOWED LIFE
TO DO GOD'S WORK.

What do I expect?
What do I deserve?
Do I have a right to be :

Healthy?
Safe?
Heard?
Accepted?
Loved?
Alive !!!!

The answer is NO !!!!

So why am I still breathing ?

Jesus was opposed, despised, rejected, mocked and murdered !!!

. . . ON MY BEHALF; so I can endure
anything. I can forgive. I can love and accept what he allows. I accept any and all life's journey; pleasant or unpleasant as the gift of God - eternal life - UNDESERVED !!!

Not everyone gets to be 62 years old
I AM THANKFUL FOR
THE LIFE HE GIVES
I MUST GIVE.

PRAYER:
Teach me to serve you
As YOU DESERVE
To give and not to count the cost
To fight and not to heed the wounds
To labor and to not to seek reward
except the knowing that
I do HIS will who gives me life.
Amen

THOUGHT
When I walk life's road with a "I deserve better" attitude I show ingratitude.

GOVERNMENT IS EVERYTHING ?

blackandwhite

GOVERNMENT IS EVERYTHING ?

Did America lose it's way?

Founded on a biblical constitution?

Now Worshiping Freedom ?
(A Statue [IDOL] of Liberty)

Separating church and state?

Has President Obama
transformed America ?

Are we 'crossing over' into
SHARIA ECONOMICS ?

Is Sharia Law replacing
The Constitution?

Ancient Israel was taken captive and enslaved many times because of disobedience.

The American founders clearly stated that the constitution was only useful for "a Godly nation" and the bible promises a blessing on the nation "whose God is The Lord".
http://bit.ly/1M0Nc6C

Did President Obama correctly observe that "America is no longer a Christian nation"?

Are we now in that transitional "free or all" condition of lawlessness when everyone does "what is right in his own eyes"?

Are we still a nation "under god"
if that god is Allah ?

Can we still be a nation of law
if that law is Sharia ?

Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

LUKE 11:8 - "Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God"

Seed - written documented message
Flower - speak show transfer
Fruit - results in more seed

If Flowering is (preaching) telling
And Fruiting is teaching
Should growing and
maturing lead to both ?

Soul-winning is
show and tell.

DEMOCRACY DEPENDS ON
INFORMED CITIZENRY

our entire way of life in America depends on the rule of law, that the maintenance of that law is a hard

in this country we don't have soldiers in the streets or militias setting the rules

they were assigned to protect and keep orderly a peaceful protest in response to the killing of Alton Sterling of Baton Rouge and Philando Castile of Minnesota

the targeting of police by the shooter here, an act not just of demented violence, but of racial hatred.

We wonder if an African American community that feels unfairly targeted by police and police departments that feel unfairly maligned for doing their jobs, can ever understand each other's experience

I'm here to insist that we are not as divided as we seem. And I know that because I know America. I know how far we've come against impossible odds

Mayor Rawlings and Chief Brown, a white man and a black man with different backgrounds, work not just to restore order and support a shaken city, a shaken department, but work together to unify a city with strength and grace and wisdom.

I see what's possible when we recognize that we are one American family, all deserving of equal treatment. All deserving equal respect. All children of God. That's the America I know.

I'm reminded of a passage in John's Gospel, "let us love, not with words or speech, but with actions and in truth

we ask the police to do too much and we ask too little of ourselves

As a society, we choose to under-invest in decent schools. We allow poverty to fester so that entire neighborhoods offer no prospect for gainful employment. We refuse to fund drug treatment and mental health programs.

THE CURE
Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

My perceptual framework
Includes my biases and beliefs.

I will only 'see' as
my perception dictates.

The little children however, do not know what they are looking at until we teach what to look for.

In the meantime, while they are waiting on us to teach them 'everything'

they want to taste and touch everything even poisonous and electrically hazardous stuff. And Jesus said we are like
the little child when we are
"born again".

Do we remain like the little child, touching and tasting everything?

We want to . . . until pain is introduced. Not once, especially if there was pleasure involved. Many harmful things are at first sweet to the taste and soft to the touch.

Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright.

At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder.

Thine eyes shall behold strange women, and thine heart shall utter perverse things.

. . . thou shalt be as he that lieth down in the midst of the sea, or as he that lieth upon the top of a mast. They have stricken me, shalt thou say, and I was not sick; they have beaten me, and I felt it not: when shall I awake?

I will seek it yet again. - Proverbs

Modern science
calls this addiction.

So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you.

Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

How often do I
need to learn this ?

Very
Very
Very
Often

For me Temptation seems
never to be on vacation !!!

This baby is learning

Sometimes I have to yell at him as he charges gleefully towards the staircase or reaches happily into the garbage can !!!!

I cannot allow him to permanently harm himself

So sometimes I make him uncomfortable by restricting his movement

I confine him to the playpen
where he cries for a while.

Until I get sorry for him and take him out, whereupon he promptly undertakes some new self destructive adventure.

I yelled
I confined
I slap

WILL HE EVER LEARN ?

The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

BY GOD'S MERCY AND GRACE
WE EVENTUALLY GROW UP !

THE MISSION INCLUDES

"exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God."

mad

TWO THINGS I LEARNED
I HAVE NOT FORGOT
STILL HELP ME ••

1. "You are not allowed to . . ."
2. "Are you mad at me" ••

Back in the day I was out of control.
I didn't realize it then. During the summer the kids would be around a lot. I remember the CO saying to the persistent annoying kids, ever so patient and sweet, "you are not allowed in the office now". ••

I'm not sure why it struck me and has stuck with me, but ever since it has served as a reminder to me that I cannot do whatever I want to do. ••

I HAVE TENDED TO BE LIKE MOST MALES, AN EMOTIONAL RECLUSE.
Men tend not to be aware of "feelings". I was no exception, not deliberately but yes, insensitive. God cares about our heart, I eventually learned. Am still not good at being emotionally connected. I believe that's why I have learned to use the little phrase I learned many years ago from a dear friend; the question so simple but so powerful in every situation, it can reopen a closed channel of communication and reconnect a person with the emotions and the heart. ••

ARE YOU MAD AT ME ? ••

"the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart." ••

Dilemma

I am a Christian. I am a Methodist," (Hillary) Clinton responded. "My study of the Bible … has led me to believe the most important commandment is to love the Lord with all your might and to love your neighbor as yourself, and that is what I think we are commanded by Christ to do.
http://bit.ly/29sMkKM

And there is so much more in the Bible about taking care of the poor, visiting the prisoners, taking in the stranger, creating opportunities for others to be lifted up … I think there are many different ways of exercising your faith."

The French philosopher and theologian Jacques Ellul wrote: "Politics is the church's worst problem. It is her constant temptation, the occasion of her greatest disasters, the trap continually set for her by the prince of this world." In rallying round Mr. Trump, evangelicals have walked into the trap.

URBAN MISSION - SOCIAL IMPACT OF THE GOSPEL IN THE CITY

"seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the Lord for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace."

Church and State in the City provides the first comprehensive analysis of the city's long debate about the public interest. Historian William Issel explores the complex ways that the San Francisco Catholic Church—and its lay men and women—developed relationships with the local businesses, unions, other community groups, and city government to shape debates about how to define and implement the common good. - http://bit.ly/29fswqP

Protestantism spurred mass education, mass printing, widespread voluntary humanitarian organizations, and non-violent social protest movements.

Protestant missionaries spread these innovations globally and fostered major reform movements (including the abolition of slavery) which radically transformed the economies and political systems of the world."
- Dr. Bob Woodberry

"A lot of immigrants don't know anything about Christianity," said Boone. "Through ESL [English-as- Second-language] class, we have seen about every nation on earth and religious sect come through. We had two Chinese teenagers who had never heard of Jesus before." For some, acts of mercy provide the first exposure to Christ's saving message of hope for the future. - http://bit.ly/29fqmY5

Regarding the church's impact on American culture, Dr. Al Mohler said the church was once an authoritative voice but has now been displaced . . . 77% of Americans polled believe religion is losing its influence in the United States - http://bit.ly/29fqYNB
