THE DO NOTHING GOSPEL?

A simple search of the biblical text shows the word 'gospel' appears 98 times. JESÚS SAID: "this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come."

I am just as fascinated with what Jesus did as with what He said.

"after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching 

the gospel of the kingdom of God,

And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel."

Why Is the world bored with the 'do-nothing gospel' of modern churches?

President Obama showed Americans the powerful effects a religion can have on the culture of a nation.

Islam as a social order has a huge 'political' component . . . Is the Christian gospel just a message or is it a 'social order'? 

LAW & GOSPEL

Doctrine without deeds is just as bad as deeds without doctrine.

If faith without works is dead, then those works without faith is as the filthy rags with the same death stench.

What if doctrine is discipline?

Should creeds produce deeds?

THE FATHER IS THE KING

"I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me." - HIS DEEDS WERE BEING CHALLENGED 

"the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day."

Healing is the result of teaching, deeds are the products of doctrine.

PREACH TO THE POOR

Deaf

Blind

Dead

Poor

JESÚS SAID: "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father."

"If the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men."

JESUS SAID GO INTO ALL THE WORLD . . .

The world of politics?

The world of business?

The world of education?

The world of the sciences?

. . . DOING GREATER WORKS?

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father."

"these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils [MENTAL HEALTH?]; they shall speak with new tongues [COMPUTER SCIENCE & CODING?]; They shall take up serpents [GENETIC ENGINEERING?]; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them [PHARMACEUTICAL & NUTRITIONAL SCIENCE?]; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. [MEDICAL SCIENCE & THE HEALING ARTS?]

Is There a 'Science' 

of family life? 

Is there a 'scientific' benefit to church membership as it relates to healthy family?

Do church leaders need "qualifications" in the 'science' of social work and family counseling?

The church has "outsourced" almost everything to the world!!!!

Why has the church "outsourced" this 'ministry' to 'worldly' practitioners?

Social work is basically 

taking care of the poor 

Psychology is basically 

taking care of 'the soul'

ie 'mental health'

The word Economics comes from two root words meaning rules of the house/home

The 'Healing Arts' was one of the cornerstones of Jesus 'ministry'; the other was education !!!

"Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people."

HEALTH CARE &

EDUCATION the two pillars on which the FAMILY rests; ECONOMIC stability is the natural outcome if the two are in place.
