Do church leaders need "qualifications" in the 'science' of social work and family counseling?

The church has "outsourced" almost everything to the world!!!!

Why has the church "outsourced" this 'ministry' to 'worldly' practitioners?

Social work is basically 

taking care of the poor 

Psychology is basically 

taking care of 'the soul'

ie 'mental health'

The word Economics comes from two root words meaning rules of the house/home

The 'Healing Arts' was one of the cornerstones of Jesus 'ministry'; the other was education !!!

"Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people."

HEALTH CARE &

EDUCATION the two pillars on which the FAMILY rests; ECONOMIC stability is the natural outcome if the two are in place.

CONCLUSIONS

What if the growing interest in 'mental health' may be the latest manifestation of biblical unbelief?

I am first a biblical believer and then a 'scientist' #healthscience #politicalscience etc. Not all that I know is empirically verifiable or even rationally defensible !!!

The Bible begins by asking me to BELIEVE two things: "he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."

EVERYTHING STANDS OR FALLS ON MY CHOICE TO BELIEVE.

Are you having "a hard time believing, but want to believe?  It's okay.  Make a step in the right direction - listen to a Christian radio station, check out a sermon online, read an inspiring faith based book".
